PET/CT Imaging

PET CT Imaging

PET (Positron Emission Tomography) and CT (Computed Tomography) are both standard imaging tools physicians use to pinpoint disease states in the body. Reading Health System uses a Philips GEMINI TF (TruFlight) system PET/CT scanner to offer the next dimension in diagnostic imaging power.

How PET/CT Imaging Works

PET/CT is a powerful imaging technique that provides diagnostic and anatomic information about the human body in a single scan. This allows your physician to examine your entire body at once, making it easier for your doctor to diagnose problems, determine the extent of disease, prescribe treatment, and track progress.
