What to Expect

We treat a wide range of orthopedic injuries and conditions. As our patient, you can expect an individualized plan for treatment that takes into account your specific circumstances. Members of our team will work with you on an individual basis to determine what is best for your situation.

Planning for Orthopedic Surgery

Surgery is only one of many options. If you are a candidate for surgery, you will begin by scheduling a date.

After surgery is scheduled, you will meet with members of the nursing and anesthesia teams and have labs drawn. You will then attend a Joint Education Class, which family members are encourage to attend with you.

On the day of surgery, you are prepped, undergo surgery, and returned to the unit. You may visit with therapists the same day and move out of bed just hours after surgery. Throughout a stay of two to three days, nursing and therapy staff, as well as physicians, manage your care.

Care management is integral in planning a smooth discharge transition whether it is to home, utilizing home health services or other community resources, or being admitted to an inpatient rehab area.
