schwartz obPeter Schwartz, MD
Chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Schwartz completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard College, is a graduate of Boston University School of Medicine, and did his residency training in OB/GYN at the Yale – New Haven Hospital. He is currently Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Drexel University School of Medicine. His past experience includes: President of The Obstetrical Society of Philadelphia, Chair of ACOG Pennsylvania Section, Chair of the ACOG Committee on Ethics, Chair of the ACOG Grievance Committee, and Chair of the ACOG State Legislative Committee. He has also been Assistant Secretary of ACOG followed by election to the position of Vice President of ACOG. He was also a member of the Council for Resident Education in OB/GYN and a member of the Residency Review Committee for OB/GYN.

Residency Program Director, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

A graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey, Dr. Schnatz completed his undergraduate studies at Drew University and Post-baccalaureate training at Columbia University. Dr. Schnatz completed his Internal Medicine and OB/GYN residencies at The University of Connecticut, in Farmington, Connecticut. Certified by both the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Schnatz is also a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner. He is a 2009 recipient of the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award.

jiang obXuezhi Jiang, MD
Faculty Associate, Clerkship Director

Dr. Jiang completed his graduate studies at the University of Illinois. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2010. In addition to being recognized by the AAGL as an Honorary Resident, Dr. Jiang has received several academic awards. Dr. Jiang has a strong commitment to research as evidenced by his numerous publications, and is eager to continue pursuing his interests in clinical research.

cammarano obDominic J. Cammarano, DO
Chief, Section of Gynecology

Dr. Cammarano is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated Cum Laude. Dr. Cammarano completed his OB/GYN residency at Allegheny General Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA. Certified by the American Board of Obstetricians & Gynecologists; Dr. Cammarano is a member of the American Medical Association, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, Pennsylvania Medical Society, and Philadelphia Obstetrical Society. Dr. Cammarano has undergone extensive training in robotic surgery. Along with being the owner and Medical Director of Reading Birth & Women’s Center, Dr. Cammarano is a Section Chief of Gynecology. He is a recipient of the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award.

payer obJean M. Payer, MD
Chief, Section of Obstetrics

Dr. Payer is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and residency training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Payer is involved in full time clinical practice, is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a member of ACOG, AMA, BCMS, AOA, and ISCD.

doughterty obJohn J. Dougherty, MD
Associate Residency Program Director

Dr. John J. Dougherty is a graduate of Hahnemann University School of Medicine. He completed residency training at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. After twelve years in private practice, Dr. Dougherty joined the full-time faculty as Associate Residency Program Director in July of 2012. Dr. Dougherty was awarded the APGO Teaching Excellence Award in 2007 and the Excellence in Resident Teaching Award in the 2005-2006 and 2011-2012 academic years. He is board certified and a member of ACOG, AAGL, ABOG, MGMA, Tri-County Medical Society, and Berks County Medical Society.

Dr. Ferry graduated from Temple University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at The Reading Hospital. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Ferry was the 2009 recipient of the APGO (Association of Professor’s in Gynecology) Excellence in Teaching Award for his outstanding teaching practices and commitment to teaching excellence.

Maternal Fetal Medicine

Deveaux obRichard K. DeVeaux, MD
Perinatologist, Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Dr. DeVeaux graduated from Hahnemann Medical College, and completed his residency at Hahnemann University Hospital. He is board certified in both Maternal and Fetal Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. DeVeaux received his fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. He was a 2011 recipient of the CREOG National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education.

Weinbaum obPaul J. Weinbaum, MD, MS

A graduate of New York Medical College, Dr. Weinbaum completed his undergraduate studies at Union College where he returned a few years later to complete his MS degree in Health Sciences Management. Dr. Weinbaum completed his residency in OB/GYN at the Brown University Program in Medicine, Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, RI. He went on to complete his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Weinbaum is a member of the American Board of OB/GYN, American Board of OB/GYN-Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.


Gynecologic Oncology

Dr. Robinson-Bennett graduated from UMDNJ - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and completed her residency at The Reading Hospital. Dr. Robinson-Bennett received a Master of Medical Science degree and completed her Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at University of Texas Medical Branch.

villeneuve obJohn B. Villeneuve, MD
Faculty Associate, Section of Gynecologic Oncology

Dr. Villeneuve completed medical school at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. His residency training was completed at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Following residency, Dr. Villeneuve completed a Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.


Urogynecology

Dr. Long graduated from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, and completed her residency at The Reading Hospital. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Long completed her fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Mayo Clinic, AZ.

knarr obJamie Knarr, CRNP
Clinical Coordinator - Section of Urogynecology

Ms. Knarr completed her graduate training at Case Western Reserve University. She maintains dual board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in both OB/GYN and Family Health. In addition, Ms. Knarr has undergone extensive training in the performance of colposcopy, urodynamic studies and pelvic floor physical therapy.


Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility

Chief, Section of Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility

Dr. Minassian graduated from Jefferson Medical College, and completed his residency at Abington Memorial Hospital. He is board certified in both Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Minassian completed his Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at Jefferson Medical College. He also received the 2012 APGO Award for excellence in student education an is a Clinical Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jefferson Medical College.

Dr. Pugh graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training at The Reading Hospital. Following his residency training, Dr. Pugh completed a Minimally Invasive Surgical & Robotic Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Medical Group in Memphis, Tennessee.
