Greenfogel Joins Reading Hospital as Director of Patient Experience

Vivian Greenfogel joins Reading Hospital as the Director of Patient Experience, bringing more than 28 years of experience to a position dedicated to coordinating efforts to capture best practices in improving patient experiences and instilling them throughout Reading Health System.

Greenfogel will work throughout the Reading Health System to ensure that all stakeholders “own the patient experience” and work collectively between departments and with patients to understand their needs and bring our resources to bear to meet those needs.

Prior to coming to Reading Hospital, Greenfogel has worked as the Director of Service Excellence/Patient Experience in Somerset Medical Center in New Jersey, The University Hospital-UMDNJ in New Jersey, and Sr. Vice President for Patient Satisfaction at the Saint Barnabas Healthcare System.

Her experience includes working with Press, Ganey Associates; and having directed the patient experience and patient advocacy efforts at the Hospital Of Saint Raphael, New Haven, CT; and Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY.

Vivian attended the State University of New York for her undergraduate studies.  She has served as a board member of the Society for Healthcare Consumer Advocacy of the AHA, the New York State Chapter of the Society of Patient Representation and Consumer Affairs, the Albany Regional Council Society of Patient Representatives, and the Connecticut Hospital Association Conference for Patient Representatives. She has served as a member of the New York Hospice Association, the HealthCare Managers Association Northeastern New York and the Medical Outcomes Trust.
