Pierry Named Therapy Manager of The Rehabilitation Clinic

Michele Pierry, Lansdale, has been named Therapy Manager of The Rehabilitation Clinic at The Reading Hospital for Post-Acute Rehabilitation.

In this position, Pierry is responsible for managing the overall operation of the therapy program to meet the objectives of providing quality, cost-effective care to patients and to fulfill the mission of the Hospital. She will assure efficient, cost-conscious, and customer-service-oriented behavior by all employees of the program. Pierry has primary responsibility for operational management of the department through appropriate utilization of resources and delegation of responsibilities to achieve the standards of care established by the Hospital mission.

Pierry last served as an Advanced Clinician II at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Comprehensive Acute Rehab Unit in Philadelphia. Prior to that, she was: a Physical Therapist at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital in Allentown, Pa., working with patients with brain injuries; a Senior Physical Therapist at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Acute Rehab Unit; and, in her first professional position, a Physical Therapist in the Acute Rehab Unit at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Fla.

Pierry earned her bachelor’s degree in pre-physical therapy from Juniata College, Juniata, Pa.; her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark, N.J.; and her master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in healthcare administration from Holy Family University, Philadelphia.
