Faust Named Director of Payor Relations at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center

Sharon Faust is the new Director of Payor Relations for The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

In this position, Faust directs all aspects of the Payor Relations Department with specific focus on business development and increasing revenue. Particular emphasis is to be placed on fostering long-term relationships among insurers, physicians, and employer groups. Faust also serves as facilitator in resolving issues among internal customers, physicians, and insurers.

Faust has worked for the Hospital for nearly 25 years, joining the staff in 1987 as an Administrative Assistant working with two vice presidents and a quality improvement coordinator. From 1993 to 2004, she served as a Clerk in the Admissions Office, and from 2004-2009 she was the Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer. From 2009 until assuming her new role, Faust served as the Coordinator of Payor Relations.

Faust earned her associate’s degree in business administration from Reading Area Community College, Reading, Pa., and her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Alvernia College, Reading, Pa.
