Camera Donation Featured in Newspaper, Nightly News

The Hospital’s Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program cares for patients who come to the Emergency Department after being sexually assaulted. Highlytrained nurses treat patients and collect evidence that will hopefully allow for the prosecution of perpetrators.

Recently, District Attorney John Adams presented a new camera to the Hospital for use with the SANE program. The camera was purchased through The Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grants Program, which awards grants to states and units of local government to help improve the quality and timeliness of forensic science and medical examiner services.
