The Reading Hospital and Medical Center will celebrate Older Americans Month with Lisa Genova, renowned author of “Still Alice” and “Left Neglected” on Thursday, May 26, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza Reading.
The event is designed to support and educate caregivers of Alzheimer’s and brain injury patients. The program will include:
Genova graduated valedictorian from Bates College with a degree in biopsychology and holds a PhD in neuroscience from Harvard University. She has done research on the molecular source of depression, Parkinson’s Disease, drug addiction, and memory loss following stroke.
Following Genova’s address, a panel of specialists from The Reading Hospital and Medical Center will showcase the Hospital’s senior services. In addition, they will host an open discussion and answer questions.
Genova will sign copies of her books following the program.
