TRHMC Honored with United Way Presidential Recognition Award

Earlier this month, United Way of Berks County presented The Reading Hospital with the Presidential Recognition Award for ranking among the top ten Berks County companies that contributed to the 2010 United Way Campaign.

The Reading Hospital raised more than $300,000 during the Campaign. From October 4, through October 20, employees were given the opportunity to pledge a portion of their pay to support United Way of Berks County and its 37 health and human services partner agencies. A Kauffman’s Chicken Dinner Sale was also held, with proceeds from ticket sales going to support The Reading Hospital’s United Way Campaign efforts.

The Presidential Recognition Award was presented by Tammy White, President of United Way; Jeff Rush, Berks County Co-Chair for the United Way Campaign; and Karen McKeever of United Way at a special ceremony at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Receiving the award on behalf of The Reading Hospital was President & CEO Clint Matthews and Hospital United Way Campaign Planning Committee members Karen Tripp, Elizabeth Miller, Elizabeth Jacobelli, and Lori Moser.
