Road Run - Sunday, October 10

The annual Reading Hospital Road Run, presented by The Friends of the Reading Hospital and Medical Center and Diamond Credit Union, will take place on Sunday, October 10. All proceeds benefit projects of The Friends of Reading Hospital.

Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. The course runs through a portion of the Wyomissing Borough and the grounds of the Reading Public Museum.

Participants have the option of registering for the 5K or 10 K Run/Walk or the 1-Mile Fun Run/Fitness Walk. The 5K Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m., and the 10K Run/Walk will begin at 10 a.m. The 1-Mile Fun Run/Fitness Walk will begin at 10:10 a.m.

The race will feature instant result timing using the Chronotrack Computer D-tag System by Motion Timing, Inc.

Teams may include up to five participants. All members of teams must be registered by October 2. Interested participants may register online with a credit card by visiting www.readinghospital.org/roadrun and clicking on Online Registration. They may also register by calling 610-988-HELP.

The following Cash Awards will be given to the top three males and the top three females in the 5K and 10K race:
• 10K: 1st - $250; 2nd - $100; 3rd - $50
• 5K: 1st - $125; 2nd - $50; 3rd - $25

5K and 10K Team Awards are given to the first all male team, first all female team, and first co-ed team. Age Group Awards are given to the top three males and females in the following age categories:
• 14 and under
• 15-19
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60-69
• 70 and over

Live entertainment will be provided by Hat Trixx. High-tech wicking shirts will be available, while supplies last. Parking is free.
