Demetriades Named Vice President of Trauma and Surgical Services

James G. Demetriades, of Yardley, has been named Vice President of Trauma and Surgical Services at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.  In his new position, Mr. Demetriades will oversee the Trauma Center, Perioperative Services, Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center, and Weight Management Center.   He will alo serve as administrative liaison to the physicians in the Departments of Surgery and Anesthesiology.

Prior to his arrival, Mr. Demetriades was Executive Director of Surgical Services at Princeton HealthCare System since 2007.  From 2004-2007, he was the Administrative Director, University Medical Center at Princeton Surgical Center.  He also spent three years with HealthSouth Corporation in Brunswick, NJ in several managed care positions.

Mr. Demetriades earned his MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, and his undergraduate degree (BS) in Healthcare Administration from The University of Scranton, where he formerly served on the Board of Regents.  Demetriades is also a member of the New Jersey Hospital Association.
