LeKites Appointed Director of Treasury Services

David LeKites, CFA, Wyomissing, has been appointed Director of Treasury Services for The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

In this position, LeKites is responsible for the daily operations of the treasury functions, assisting the Hospital’s senior management and the Capital Resources Committee with issues relating to bond financing and strategic investments, participation in and review of internal and external financial statements (related to investments, cash, and bonds), the supervision of various Fiscal Affairs staff members, various daily responsibilities and special projects.

LeKites last served as Senior Treasury Manager at Novell, Inc., in Provo, Utah, from 2008-2011. There he was primarily responsible for investment of corporate cash, supervising external fund managers and custodians in management of more than $1.8 billion of cash and investments and $600 million in corporate debt. Previously, from 1998-2007, he was a Senior Financial Analyst/Consultant at corporations including Schneider Capital, Aventis, Exelon, and Rohm and Haas, among others, in various cities throughout the mid-Atlantic region.  From 1997-1998, he was a Capital Markets Analyst for the Advanta Corporation in Wilmington, Del., and from 1994-1997, he served as Assistant Treasurer for Fleet Bank (DE), formerly known as NatWest Bank (DE), in Wilmington.

LeKites earned his bachelor’s degree in finance at the University of Delaware in Newark, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
