Purcell Named Nurse Manager of Hospital’s E3 Patient Care Unit

Bridget Purcell, MPA, BSN, RN, West Chester, Pa., is the new Nurse Manager of The Reading Hospital and Medical Center’s E3 Patient Care Unit.

In this position, Purcell coordinates clinical and administrative activities on the unit to provide high-quality care. She assures the provision of nursing care services in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and has 24/7 accountability for planning and operations of the unit.

Purcell was previously a member of the staff at The Chester County Hospital in West Chester for 17 years, serving for the last 11 years as Clinical Manager of a 32-bed medical/surgical unit.

Purcell earned her diploma for registered nursing from the Chester County Hospital School of Nursing and West Chester University in West Chester. She continued at West Chester to receive her bachelor’s degree in nursing and her master’s degree in public administration.
