Short Named Director of Library Services

Alexandra Short, Landisville, has been named Director of Library Services for The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. In this position, Short is responsible for planning and administering the staff, budget, facilities, collection, and services of the Hospital's library.

Short had previously worked in education at the Manheim Township School District in Lancaster, first serving as a Social Studies Teacher from 1997-2007, and then as a School Library Media Specialist from 2007-2011.

Short holds a master’s degree in library science with American Library Association Accreditation from Clarion University in Clarion, Pa. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Conn., and her Pennsylvania Teacher Certification from Millersville University in Millersville, Pa.
