RPS Endocrinology/Diabetes Center of Wyomissing has been awarded continued recognition from the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for its diabetes self-management education program. The program has been recognized by the ADA for over seven years.
ADA Education Recognition is achieved by medical practices that meet the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education Programs. Programs that achieve this status have a staff of knowledgeable healthcare professionals providing state-of-the-art information about diabetes management for participants.
RPS Endocrinology/Diabetes Center offers a variety of educational options to patients, including classes on pre-diabetes, diabetes management, gestational diabetes, and diabetes treatment. Participants in these classes learn how to understand, treat, and help prevent complications of diabetes, enabling them to manage the disease with less intervention from physicians and fewer trips to the hospital.
The staff of the RPS Endocrinology/Diabetes Center includes a multidisciplinary team of board-certified endocrinologists, certified registered nurses, ciabetes clinical nurse specialists who provide diabetes education, and registered dietitians who specialize in diabetes nutrition counseling.
The Center is located at 1991 State Hill Road, Wyomissing.
