During your stay, the network uses educational videos to provide you with information about your disease or condition, health needs, medications, hospital discharge, and more. You may access your health information once you’ve left the hospital as well. The GetWellNetwork also provides entertainment options such as television programming, movies, video games, music and Internet access.

A. GetWellNetwork is an interactive patient education system that is available through bedside TVs in patients’ rooms.

A. GetWellNetwork is available in patient rooms at Reading Hospital and Reading Health Rehabilitation Hospital.
The network also is available in Emergency Department pods, and it will be available in the new Reading HealthPlex for Advanced Surgical & Patient Care when patient rooms open in early 2017.

A. Yes, patients can use the network to make special requests. For example, they can ask for a patient advocate or chaplain through the network. They also can use the network to rate their pain or see what is planned for their day.

A. The network is available through bedside TVs in patients’ rooms. Staff members who enter patient rooms are trained to use the system and also to help patients who need assistance.
Q. Do patients benefit from having the GetWellNetwork in their rooms?

Q. How long has Reading Health had the GetWellNetwork?
A. Reading Health has had this technology since 2014. With the transition into the Reading HealthPlex, this is the first time that all nursing units and patients will have access to this technology.
