The Medical Director of the Program may dismiss a student for good cause, including:
Students must follow all rules and regulations of the Hospital and the Laboratory Policy Manual. This includes not performing laboratory tests on relatives or friends without going through proper channels.
A student who is dismissed from the program by the Medical Director for behavioral problems may appeal this decision in writing to the Vice President of Academic Affairs of the Hospital within three days. The Vice President of Academic Affairs will meet with the Program Director, the Medical Director and the student to review the facts of the dismissal and the student's appeal. After review and deliberation, the Vice President will rule on the student's appeal. The decision of the Vice President for Academic Affairs is final.
