OPEN ADMISSION POLICY

Reading Health Rehabilitation Hospital agrees to comply with the provisions of the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (43 P.S. 951 et seq.) and all requirements imposed pursuant thereto and to the end that no person shall, on the ground of race, language, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual preference, handicap, age, gender identity or expression, or source of payment be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits, or otherwise be subject to discrimination in the provisions of any care or service.

The non-discrimination policy of the Hospital applies to patients (residents), physicians, and all employees. Under no circumstances will the application of this policy result in the segregation or resegregation of buildings, wings, floors, and rooms for reason of race, language, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual preference, handicap, age, gender identity or expression, or source of payment.
