The innovative Bioness NESS H200 Neuroprosthetic and Rehabilitation System helps patients diagnosed with stroke, brain injury, or spinal cord injury improve hand function and voluntary movement.
The Bioness NESS H200 uses electrical stimulation to improve upper-extremity rehabilitation. The device surrounds a patient's hand and forearm for proper limb positions. Five surface electrodes are integrated into the system to stimulate and activate the hand and facilitate neuromuscular re-education. Therapy programs and function modes are pre-programmed, providing the clinician and the patient control over the desired hand activation. Once the device is fitted on a patient, movement can begin immediately, offering an encouraging experience for renewed hope.
Using this new technology, patients can practice grasping and releasing objects, while also performing activities of daily living. With consistent treatment, patients can regain range of motion, while further reducing spasticity. Complete therapeutic benefits include:
The NESS L300 is an advanced system for the treatment of foot drop designed to use mild stimulation to lift the foot to help a patient walk more safely and easily. This lightweight device fits just below the knee and is put on and taken off with one hand. Use of the NESS L300 may eliminate the need to wear a rigid, heavy orthosis.
The lightweight leg cuff contains electrodes designed to place stimulation where it helps the most. A sensor attaches to the shoe and lets the leg cuff know if the heel is on the ground or in the air. A hand-held remote control lets the patient adjust the level of stimulation and turn the unit on and off.
This state-of-the-art technology offers a variety of advantages for people with foot drop and may:
