The Rehabilitation Center (TRC)

The Rehabilitation Center is a comprehensive physical rehabilitation unit that offers intense inpatient services for individuals who have experienced functional loss or disability as a result of an accident, illness, or injury. In addition to the 51 private patient rooms on the ground floor, the Rehabilitation Center includes an 11-room, secured Brain Injury Unit on the first floor, where specialized care is provided for patients with traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries.

Our goal is to provide patients with a smooth and effective transition back to becoming as independent as possible in activities of daily living.

The Center is the only rehabilitation program in Berks County accredited by the independent Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This achievement assures that our patients receive health care based upon consumer-focused, international standards of performance.

The Rehabilitation Center serves patients recovering from the following conditions:

  • Brain Injury

  • Congenital deformity
  • Degenerative and progressive neurological disorders
  • Head injury
  • Orthopaedic conditions resulting in loss of function
  • Major multiple trauma

  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Stroke
