If you’re considering a career in nursing and would like to get an up-close look at what nurses do on a daily basis, you’ll want to explore a special opportunity offered by Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences Nursing Program!

Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences Discover Nursing Summer Program is designed to give prospective students a chance to work with nurses within the Hospital. You may get a chance to observe an operation or emergency care nursing, or experience nursing in the maternity, pediatrics, or medical-surgical areas.

Please note: the program will run only when staff and resources are available.

Program Requirements

• High school student entering junior or senior year
• GPA of 3.0 or greater, verified by an official transcript
• Strong attendance and punctuality records, verified by an official transcript
• Two letters of recommendation by a person who is qualified to verify academic ability
