Radiology

 Interventional - Our comprehensive and progressive Interventional practice performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures which include: trauma services, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, uterine artery and chemo embolization, neuro interventions, including stroke lysis, implantable venous access, dialysis interventions, stents, radio frequency ablation, TIPS, and endovenous laser therapy. Services are provided by a team of Fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologists, Physician Assistants, Interventional Radiologic Technologists, and Cardio-Vascular Nurses. Procedures are performed in four labs furnished with GE, Phillips and a Toshiba bi-plane angio equipment.

Radiation Oncology - Our Radiation Oncology Department, an integral part of the Reading Hospital Regional Cancer Center, offers Radiation Therapists the opportunity to use their expertise and expand their knowledge and skills while working in a warm, caring environment. Our progressive work climate provides the staff autonomy, respect, and involvement in patient care decisions. Our state-of-the-art equipment includes: one Trilogy linear accelerator, one 21EX linear accelerator, and one iX linear accelerator.  All three are equipped with On Board Imaging (KV), The Trilogy and the iX have conebeam CT capability and gating, and are used to perform stereotactic Radiosurgery; ARIA Record and Verify/ Information System; GE CT Simulator; Varian Eclipse, FastPlan, Brachyvision, and Variseed Treatment Planning Systems; and a Varisource HDR Brachytherapy unit. Our staff includes two Radiation Oncologists, three Physicists, two Dosimetrists, thirteen Radiation Therapists (full time and part time), and three RNs along with support staff. CT - Our state-of-the-art, multi-slice CT imaging department performs routine and advanced imaging such as CT Angiography, Cardiac Imaging, CT Urography, 3D imaging and CT Fluoro Guided biopsies. The department houses GE systems that include 8, 16, and 64 slice systems, a Siemens Sensation 16, and a Neurologica Ceretom portable head scanner.

Mammography - Our Breast Imaging Department features state-of-the-art Full Field Digital Mammography equipment and R 2 Computer Aided Detection (CAD) technology. We offer comprehensive diagnostic breast imaging at our Spring Ridge location, which includes diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and ultrasound guided breast biopsies, breast MRI needle localizations, and breast MRI biopsies. Screenings and short term follow up procedures are performed at our three other locations. Our department houses 6 Hologic Selenia units between four imaging centers.

MRI - Our MRI department performs a variety of imaging procedures such as dynamic abdominal, breast, and MRA imaging, as well as routine neuro and orthopedic imaging. Our department currently utilizes the following technology: GE 3T with 15.0 software, GE 1.5 T with 15.0 software, 1.5 T Siemens Avanto with TIM technology, one 1.5T GE Horizons; 9.1 software with 4-channel phased array coils; a 1.5T GE Excite; 11.0 software including VIBRANT, TRICKS and 8-channel phased array coils; and a .7T GE Excite OpenSpeed that is 8-channel ready.

Nuclear Medicine - Our state-of-the-art Nuclear Medicine Department offers a wide variety of diagnostic imaging procedures including a Phillips Gemini TF 64 slice PET/CT scanner with fusion, as well as therapeutic procedures. The department provides premium care to our customers, and houses two dual-head Siemens SPECT e-Cam cameras, a single-head Siemens camera, two dual-head Siemens SPECT c-Cam, a dual-head GE SPECT millennium camera, and a single-head GE SPECT MPR camera.

Ultrasound - Our state-of-the-art Ultrasound department performs procedures including abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular, and biopsies. The department houses eight Siemens Sequoia 512 units, 2 GE Logiq 9 units, and 2 Siemens X300 units.
