Summer and Extended Internships

The CPE (Level I) Internship

CPE (Level I) helps the student learn to utilize a clinical pastoral methodology, develop pastoral/professional identity, and practice basic skills in pastoral care and counseling.

The CPE (Level I) Internship program is open to Seminary Students, Clergy, and Qualified Lay Applicants.
Clinical Pastoral Education Program

We offer the Internship two formats:

• Summer Internship - This fulltime program fulfills the CPE requirement for seminaries and judicatories. The program starts in late May. Clergy may enroll.
• Extended Internship - This part-time program starts in early September and lasts 28 weeks. This program is open to clergy or lay ministers and qualified lay applicants as continuing education.

The program awards a certificate of completion for one unit of CPE Level I.
