PennSTAR4

As a member of the UPHS Trauma Network, The Reading Hospital has access to the PennSTAR helitransport system, a four-helicopter system serving the greater Philadelphia area since 1988. PennSTAR4, the helicopter dedicated to the Hospital's Trauma Center, is based at the Reading Regional Airport in Bern Township.

In addition to transporting patients with traumatic injuries, PennSTAR4 will also be used for interhospital transport.
