Reading Health System to Celebrate Volunteers at "Souper" Luncheon

Reading Health System couldn't do all that it does without the help of its dedicated volunteers. In 2016, Reading Health volunteers gave a total of 69,688 hours of service.

On Wednesday, April 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Reading Health will hold an "Our Volunteers Are Souper" luncheon to celebrate the ingredients that make up a great Reading Health volunteer - time, compassion, joy, talent and unending commitment to the health system. Their volunteer work helps to improve people's health and well-being in Berks County.

The luncheon, which is being held during National Volunteer Appreciation Week, will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Reading, 1741 Papermill Rd, Reading.

The event will include remarks from Clint Matthews, President & CEO, Reading Health; an interactive presentation based on the book "Stone Soup"; an awards presentation; and other activities.

The luncheon will honor inservice volunteers, junior volunteers, knitters and crafters, volunteer groups, members of The Friends of Reading Hospital and service projects and programs that utilize volunteers to benefit the community.
