Pink Power Brunch on October 2 Designed to Celebrate Good Health

The Reading area's 9th annual Pink Power celebration will be held on Sunday, October 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel, 701 Penn Street, Reading. The event is being presented by Reading Hospital's McGlinn Cancer Institute and Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County.

The Pink Power Brunch is designed to inspire and empower participants and to celebrate good health. It will include a healthy brunch, educational presentations and exhibits. Attendees will have an opportunity to talk with cancer care providers and to interact with vendors that provide health and beauty products and services.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. McGlinn Cancer Institute provides breast cancer patients with access to the region's most sophisticated leading-edge technology, educational and support services, and clinical trials. The institute is nationally recognized for offering the very best in cancer care. It has received special recognition from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons and has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.
