Reading Health's Magnet® Champion Team Coordinates Scrub Collection Event

Reading Health's Magnet® Champion Team is coordinating a Scrub Collection Event to donate gently used scrubs to Project C.U.R.E., the largest provider of donated medical supplies and equipment to developing countries around the world.

Magnet Champions are collecting gently used scrubs across the health system. Others may drop off their donations on December 5 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Reading Hospital Conference Center, Room 5. Scrubs should be sorted by size. Project C.U.R.E. will pick up the scrubs on December 5 at 4:30 p.m.

Reading Health's Magnet Champion Team is proud to be collecting these scrubs for Project C.U.R.E., which was founded in 1987 to help meet the need for medical supplies, equipment and services around the world. Since its inception, Project C.U.R.E. has delivered medical relief to needy people in more than 130 countries. The organization has been named a top charity by Charity Navigator, the Chronicle of Philanthropy and Forbes.

Reading Hospital received Magnet® recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in August 2016. Magnet recognition is the most prestigious distinction a healthcare organization can receive for nursing excellence, professionalism and quality patient outcomes.
