Having a newborn in the NICU can be a difficult and emotional
experience. Don’t panic. You’re not alone. Join Parents in Partnership,
a support group that provides friendship, advice and information for
families of NICU babies. “It can be very helpful to share your
experiences with other families who are going through something
similar,” said Kristina Kurland, Chair, NICU Advisory Board. “Some
parents find the group support helps to alleviate some of the anxiety
and insecurity they
may feel about caring for a preemie.” Group sessions include educational
topics such as bonding with your baby, therapeutic touch for your
preemie, and taking your baby home.
