Community Benefit Programs

Reading Health System's commitment is demonstrated in the regular provision of health care beyond its walls, combining permanent sites in medically underserved areas with a yearlong calendar of screenings, health fairs, and educational programs targeted to improve the health and well being of the community. Outreach services are offered, regardless of ability to pay.

Community Screenings

Free or low-cost screenings are offered on an annual basis at various times throughout the year, and registration is required. Please call 484-628-HELP for more information.

Health Fairs

Health Fairs allow Reading Health System to connect and educate the community on the services we provide. If you would like to request Reading Health System presence at your health fair, contact Brandon Monk, Community Health Coordinator at 484-628-4977 or send an email.

Speakers Bureau

Knowledge can be a powerful tool in maintaining your health. We’re committed to improving the health of the community we serve. That’s why we created Reading Hospital Speakers Bureau.

Reading Hospital Speakers Bureau shares valuable information about a wide range of healthcare topics that affect everyone in our community. And there is no cost to your organization!

Our speakers, each with a distinctive style, are prepared to talk for 20 to 30 minutes. Some speakers have a formal presentation followed by a question-and-answer period. Others are less formal, and encourage questions anytime during the presentation.

View our brochure [PDF], which includes a list of Speakers Bureau topics. If there is a specific healthcare topic not on our list, we may be able to tailor a program to meet your needs. To schedule a speaker, contact Brandon Monk, Community Health Coordinator, or call 484-628-4977. Please allow a minimum of six weeks notice.
