This program is sponsored by Reading Hospital for the Boy Scouts of America. Our post meets monthly to teach high school students about various careers in healthcare. Young adults ages 14 to 21 who have shown an interest in a medical profession are welcome to join the group. The program features guest speakers and departmental tours.
Who's Invited to Join
Berks County high school students in grades 9 to 12 who are interested in a career in healthcare are welcome to join the 2016 - 2017 Medical Explorers Post.
During each post, students will have the opportunity to tour a different department in Reading Hospital and talk to doctors, nurses and staff about careers in healthcare.
Attendance is FREE. Registration is not required but recommended.
About the Program
Developed by the Boy Scouts of America, Medical Explorers is a program offered to high school students interested in learning about careers in healthcare.
Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Students are welcome to join Medical Explorers anytime throughout the year.
